Did you know that like couch potatoes and fitness fanatics, there are lazy and active calories? The type of calorie determines the rate at which the body will burn them. Foods closer to a natural state such as fresh fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, will burn more quickly than processed foods. Experts blame processed foods for the current obesity epidemic.
