Eat Well:: How Healthy is Gluten Free?
By beverly | Posted in Nutrition | September 8th, 2010While on my Spring Cleanse, my diet was dairy, sugar, caffeine, alcohol, and gluten free. I found great foods that met these parameters. Since then, I added back red wine, in moderation, but not much more. I've found great gluten free products that are tasty and satisfying. I am 8 pounds lighter than before the cleanse which I attribute to change in diet and smaller portions. This blog post has interesting data about the growing adaption of gluten free products.

After completing the Spring Cleanse, I continue to avoid foods with refined sugar, gluten and dairy. This has created a challenge when craving desert. That is, until I discovered this absolutely delicious Brownie recipe. Try it. It's amazing.

LIve Well::After the Cleanse
By beverly | Posted in apple cider vinegar, wellness | May 5th, 2010We completed the Spring Detox Cleanse last night after our last bowl of alkaline broth. This is a great accomplishment. During the 30 days, I felt incredibly focused and clear about food choices and nutrition. Although it required a lot of effort in the kitchen to prepare shakes, soups, lunches to go, cleaning veggies, and creating delicious marinades, we will do this again, same time next year. The only thing we missed was a champagne toast for a birthday, morning coffee, and our evening wine on the deck.
